Where is Nantes located?
Nantes is a metropolis ideally located, at only two hours from Paris and about two hours by plane from most European capitals. Gateway to the Brittany ports, just a step away from major tourist sites such as Mont Saint-Michel, the Puy du Fou, Brittany, the Futuroscope or the "Châteaux de la Loire".

How can I reach the Veterinary School from city center?
A bus shuttle service will be available to take participants from/to these city center hotels to the Veterinary School (Monday through Friday). The bus will start at a common point close to the above-mentioned hotels. The bus schedule is indicated below.

Bus Shuttle Schedules
Every morning and evening, a shuttle will be available in front of "Hôtel Kyriad", located Cours John Kennedy to the Veterinary School and back to the City Center of Nantes in the evening from Monday through Friday.

Who can benefit from the student fee?
Student registration is available for trainees preparing the ECVP/ACVP or ECLAM/ACLAM board examination. "Students" are those not enrolled in any professional activity (not affiliated with any public or private institution) and therefore not receiving any salary or stipend. A justification is required and should be sent with the registration from.

What is included in the registration fees?
This fee includes: tuition, coffee breaks, lunches and local shuttle transportation, course materials and handouts. The fee does not include travel expenses, accommodation, the "Course Diner" and the meals that are not specified in the program.

Is it possible to register for one part of the course?
No, the registration corresponds to the whole week.

Can I register to the course diner on site?
A Course Dinner will be held on Wednesday with additional cost (35 Euros). On-site registration may not be possible, so please register at the time of enrollment in the course.

What is the D.E.S.V. of Veterinary Pathology?
The D.E.S.V. (Diplôme d'Etudes Spécialisées Vétérinaires) of Veterinary Pathology is a post-graduate program that prepares veterinarians as specialists in veterinary pathology. The D.E.S.V. is co-organized by the Departments of Pathology of the four French National Veterinary Schools (Alfort, Lyon, Nantes, Toulouse).

What is the CL Davis Foundation?
The Charles Louis Davis, D.V.M. Foundation is the largest organization in the world composed of individuals who are engaged in the formal or informal, study, practice or teaching of Avian, Aquatic, Comparative, Veterinary, Wildlife and Zoological Pathology or Related Scientific Disciplines. Its mission is to further the International advancement of education in veterinary and comparative pathology through a variety of outreach educational programs.

ProAnaPath is a non-profit organisation with mission to help training of veterinary pathologists.

What is the S.F.A.P.V.?
The S.F.A.P.V. is the French Society of Veterinary Pathology and represents veterinary pathology specialists from the pharmaceutical industry, biomedical research, veterinary diagnostic and academia. To learn more about the French Society of Veterinary Pathology please contact the course organizers.

Do I need to register for the practical session?
Yes, the number of placement is limited for the histopathology session, so please tell us at the time of registration if you wish to participate to the slide session.

How can I get a taxi to the airport or to the Nantes at the end of the course?
We will organize the reservation of taxis shuttles (at your own cost) to the airport and Nantes railway station on Friday, depending on your time of departure.
